The legend about free land Belovodie, being familiar by early 19th century, played considerable role in Russian population forming in Altai. This was the land free of the government supervision and where the orthodox priesthood of pre-Nikon schism of Russian church was kept.

On the open day all gaming lessons and excursions will be for free. "Handcraft school" will be for special price. The entrance ticket will be also for free.

29.11.11 - 27.02.12 Mediator between Heaven and Earth
An exhibition "Mediator between Heaven and Earth - Shaman" is open on the 29th of November, 2011 in the National Folk Museum of Korea in Seoul. On display are above 500 ethnographic objects illustrating shamanism of the peoples of Siberia, the Koreans, the Nepalese and the Ainu peoples from the collections of the Russian Museum of Ethnography and the Peter the Great Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography (Kunstkamera) in St. Petersburg as well as from the museums of Korea, Japan, Denmark and Nepal

19.11.11 – 31.01.12. “Count A.A. Bobrinskoy – traveller, ethnographer and art historian” exhibition (commemorating the150th anniversary of his birth)
This year marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of Count Aleksey AlekseevichBobrinskoy (b. Moscow,21st December 1861 -d. Siuzi, Italy 4th December 1938), whose name is closely connected with the history of Russian science, primarily research in the field of traditional art and culture of Russian people, as well as the peoples of the Pamirs (Shugnanis, Rushanis, Wakhis, Ishkashimis, etc.).

19.04 - 24.04.2011. The third annual exhibition "Architecture of St-Petersburg"
The third biennially of the modern architecture in St-Petersburg in The Russian Museum of Ethnography is hold . At the exhibition new works of Russian architectures and architectural studios are presented. The retrospective part is dedicated to Lev V. Rudnev (1885-1956)
The educational program includes lectures of the leading architectures from St-Petersburg, Moscow and foreign architectures, presentations of the architectural issues, demonstration videos. The topic of the 2011 lectures is - architecture of the Baltic and Northern countries.
The video program: films on modern architecture of Netherlands and China, about foreign architectures's works - Norman Foster, Zaha Hadid and etc.
