Outdoor clothing
For the first time guests and citizens of St. Petersburg have the opportunity to get acquainted with the unique collection of outdoor clothing of the 18th-20th cc. kept in the largest ethnographic museum of Russia. More than 70 various types of outerwears characteristic of the peoples of Russia and foreign countries are on display at the exhibition.
Fur and leather, wood and cotton, different textiles, skins and feathers, fish skin, glass beads, metal pendants, coins, cowry-shells - all these various materials were used to make and decorate the overcoats.
