Avant-garde of the Jewish book

The exhibition "Avant-garde of the Jewish book" is open from February, 11 till May, 17 in Paris, France.

On display at the exhibition are 19 exhibits from the collection of the Russian Museum of Ethnography. Among the objects are the author's works made early in the 20th century by an artist S. Yudovin which represent the images of Jewish gravestones.

The exhibition gives an idea of the genesis in Russia and Poland of the Jewish avant-garde in the context of the Revolution, and of appearance of such notions as "cultural autonomy" and "renaissance of the Jewish language" Fore more information see also http://www.mahj.org/en/3_expositions/expo_FuturAnterieur.php?niv=2&ssniv=1>http://www.mahj.org/en/3_expositions/expo_FuturAnterieur.php?niv=2&ssniv=1
