Shamans of Siberia
br This exhibition is the result of collaboration of the Russian Museum of Ethnography (St-Petersburg) and Linden Museum (Stuttgart). There are about 400 exhibits and photographs which introduce to visitors of Museum the unique phenomenon of the spiritual culture and world outlook of the native peoples of Siberia - shamanism .
The special place at the exhibition take Shaman's tent with ritual objects, summer tent with bark coverings, ritual gowns and attributes of the well-known Siberian shamans in the early XX century (Evenk - F. Poligus, Dokholokto, Odokan; Buryat - Gasoni Dorgikhanova, Khongon-Dajbo, Takhira Boroldoya, Akhanovoi, Ogdoi; Khakass - Karakiz; Koryak - Kalya), and materials about neoshamans of the XXI century take.
Catalogue, excursions, multimedia programs and performances of the folk groups will allow visitors of every age to understand the culture of the Far eastern peoples of Russia.
