On the 10th of June 2009 right ahead of the National Day of Russia, an inauguration of the exhibition "Peoples and citizens of Russia. Prototype of the electorate." was held in the CEC of Russia.
The exhibition presents photos of the end of 19 - beginning of the 20th centuries showing the culture of the peoples of Russia and their everyday life, copies of rare pictures from the unique collection of 1860 and rare images taken during the expeditions in the beginning of the 20th century.

At the inauguration Vladimir Grusman expressed his appreciation to the President of the CEC Mr. Vladimir Tchurov and presented him a golden card of member of the Friends' Club of the Russian Museum of Ethnography.
